About Sven Hanselmann

I am Sven Hanselmann, a child of Generation Y, rooted in St.Gallen, my home, my place of retreat and my creative origins.

Since 2016, I've been telling stories in pictures that say more than words. With Studio-Hanselmann, I accompany exclusive weddings in Switzerland and at the most beautiful places in the world. Deliberately limited to a maximum of 25 weddings per year in order to give each couple the attention, dedication and artistic precision that makes unforgettable memories deserve.

Away from weddings, I design tailor-made branding campaigns and digital marketing strategies for companies that not only make brands visible, but also tangible.

It is the symbiosis of creativity and strategy that underpins my work. A keen sense of aesthetics combined with a clear eye for impact.

History

2000

The first movie

Started with an analog 35mm film, guided by my father. Even then, I was a fan of the slightly blurry, intensive recordings of movement. It may also be due to my clumsy children's hands.

2013

The first training

Training as a plant and equipment manufacturer

A solid basis in precision and craftsmanship, which continues to shape my structured and detail-oriented way of working today.

2016

Self-employment

Start in photography & videography

First projects in the area of event photography, weddings and small business productions. Passion becomes a vocation.

2021

The founding of Studio Hanselmann

Freelance services in photography, videography and digital marketing

Focus on wedding photography and exclusive wedding films worldwide. Targeted limited to 25 weddings per year for the highest quality. Parallel branding and content campaigns for Swiss companies.

In the heart of the Maienfeld vineyards, surrounded by the breathtaking mountain scenery of Graubünden. The gentle rain didn't detract from the atmosphere; it really made the scene blossom. No monsoon rains in the world could have washed away the couple's happiness that day. 

For me, winning this Wedding Photographer Award is a celebration of love in its purest and most joyful form — even in rain.
