About Sven Hanselmann
I'm Sven Hanselmann. Before I ever held a camera, I held a welding torch. As a plant and equipment builder, I worked on construction sites at –20 degrees and welded aluminium, stainless steel and steel in full protective gear at 40 degrees in summer.
My father gave me an eye for images. I took it into videography: from simple village weddings to Hollywood-worthy weddings in California, Florence and the most beautiful places in Switzerland. That's where I learned to put people at ease who had never stood in front of a camera before.
In 2019, alongside my job, I qualified as a Swiss federally certified marketing specialist and digital marketing specialist. At NIKIN, I helped drive the social media channels – in 2021, Meta named us a showcase example in Switzerland. After that, I spent three years building the social media team at Migros Ostschweiz.
There, on the client side, I saw what doesn't work: elaborate films with large teams that fizzle out on social media. And employees who freeze up in front of a six-person crew.
