An engagement is the start of something big.
A moment in which two people make a conscious decision: We will go down this path together. All the way to the end.

Chloe and Sasha celebrated this exact moment with an engagement shoot in front of Palm Springs, at one of the most famous backdrops in the area: the famous Windmill Farm in the desert.

A place that feels like a movie set. And a couple that look like they came straight out of a music video in LA.

The wind turbines off Palm Springs are among the most famous spots in all of California.
The landscape is wide, open and extremely powerful at the same time.

Desert, mountains, wind and that special light that only Southern California has. And how I love that light. Okay maybe it's always the perfect temperature of 23 - 30 degrees Celsius.

This location is perfect for an engagement shoot because it looks modern and yet remains natural. The windmills in the background give the whole thing an almost surreal look, like an editorial from a fashion magazine.

Chloe & Sasha: Los Angeles Vibes and Superstar Energy

Chloe and Sasha live in Los Angeles, and you can tell right away that they have everything they need to be a superstar couple.

Honestly, just look at these two models.

Her style, her charisma, her energy. Everything looks effortless and special at the same time.

The shoot didn't feel like a classic couple session, but more like a music video. Cinematic, cool, vivid.
And then there are the epic windmills in the background.

Humor and lightness in front of the camera

But what really made this shoot special wasn't just the look.

Chloe and Sasha were incredibly funny together. They constantly relaxed each other, laughed and shared little moments that were simply real.

These two are not only beautiful together, they also feel safe together. You could feel that right away.

It is precisely this lightness that creates the best pictures and films in the end.

My approach as a wedding videographer: Natural instead of provided

As a wedding videographer, it is extremely important to me that couples don't have to feel like they're in a shoot.

I don't pretend to be rigid poses and I don't want to create artificial scenes.

My goal is to make real connection visible.

Couples should move, laugh, shut up for a moment, just be themselves. The camera is there, but it's not in the way.

This creates moments that don't look played out, but remain honest and authentic.

But should there be a slack, I always take 2-3 special ideas with me as a precaution that suit the couples and can round off the whole thing nicely.

Engagement shoots as part of your wedding story

Engagement shoots are so much more than just beautiful shots.

They are often the first part of your shared story, which later continues in a wedding movie.

Destination couples from Los Angeles or international couples in particular love these sessions because they show personality and give a feeling for the relationship.
